Subscribeperhaps fundamentalist religion is now making a comeback because there are many people who think that living a moral way, according to a certain code, is a good way to livejives with what I was saying. As I read it, you seem to feel that the only way to live a moral life is to live a religious life: this is the attitude of the past, in which areligious/other-religion people were treated as, well, "suspicious" for want of a better word. As society became more liberal, ie. more accepting of a wider variety of beliefs and behaviours, one's "goodness" came to be judged more on one's actions than one's churchgoingness.
