SubscribeRushmc put it well- if you work more than 40 hours a week- and you aren't self-employed- then you're a fool. I've long since come to the conclusion that working extra hours- even at overtime pay- is nothing more than a subsidy of a business's failure to hire the correct amount of personnel, and as such is violating the basic free market notion that the costs of production should not be externalized.
